Submissions

See who submitted, what they said, and follow up in one click.

Open any form from the Forms page to see its results: a chart of submissions over time and a table of everyone who submitted.

A form’s submissions view

The submissions table

Each row shows the Person, Date added, and Referrer (the page they submitted from, “Not provided” for direct link submissions). Two actions per row:

  • View: opens a panel with every submitted field and its value, labeled the way you named the fields.
  • Message: jumps straight to that contact’s conversation in the inbox. Speed-to-lead matters: texting a form submitter within minutes dramatically outperforms a next-day email.

What happens to the data

Every submission:

  1. Creates or updates a contact: matched by phone number, with name, email, and custom field answers saved as contact properties.
  2. Joins your lists: if the form has Add to list(s) configured, the contact is added immediately, which can fire an Added to list flow trigger for automated follow-up.
  3. Optionally lands in the inbox: with Send submission as message? on, the submission appears as a message in the contact’s thread, so whoever’s working the inbox sees it in real time.

Automating follow-up

The manual Message button is great for high-touch follow-up, but most teams automate the first touch:

  • Trigger a flow with the Form submission trigger (or via the form’s list add).
  • Send an instant welcome text, wait, then follow up if they haven’t replied.
  • Use a filter on submission properties to route different answers differently, e.g. interested in “Personal training” vs “Group classes”.
