Automate your workflow
Automations are a critical Helios feature. They enable users to carry out conversations and generate conversions with minimal effort. When it comes to automations, the work is front ended. In other words, setting up the automations is the most amount of work you’ll have to do. Then you can sit back and watch Helios work for you, interjecting your personal touch whenever you find it necessary.
To start, go to Automations in the left menu. Once you’ve selected automations, you will see a purple button on the top right of your screen that says Create automation – click it to get started.

After clicking Create automation a new window will open. The first thing you’ll want to do is to name your automation. You may remember from our Message template article that you can create and attach promo codes to your messages. In our example below we’ve decided to name this new automation Sprout45, after the promo code we created for our message template. Now we know that any time this automation is triggered it will be due to a reply that has the promo Sprout45 in it.

Now that you’ve named your automation it's time to choose your trigger. A trigger is the message response you want to send your customers or leads based on their previous reply. To continue with our example, we asked customers to reply “Sprout45” if they were interested. We will then go into the trigger settings and set them to incoming messages. Helios will then use AI to scan all replies that contain any of the keywords we enter.
Pro-tip: not all of your customers are the best typers. In our example we chose multiple spellings and typos of our promo.
Next we have to tell Helios what to do once an appropriate reply is received. Under actions we have asked Helios to send a message. Think of this as an auto-reply. In the message box you can type any follow up message you would like. You can also add a personal touch by clicking the emoji icon in the bottom right of the message box.
Pro-tip: combine two powerful features by selecting a message template with your automation. To do this, just click the icon to the right of the emoji button
And that's it.
